The most famous Golf 2 is ofcourse the GTI. Original Golf 2 GTI has DOHC(16v) engine with 1800ccm and 150hp. It has 4 headlights on front grill and 3 doors.
GTI was changed and improved the most. There are many tuned versions of the GTI.

The most exclusive version of Golf 2 GTI is G60 Limited, produced by VolksWagen Motorsport division. G60 Limited was built in 70 pieces, it has engine from standard GTI (DOHC) but with 212hp. G60 Limited was the most powerful Golf until 2003 and Golf 4 R32. more on golf2.atspace.com
